Unprecedented federal funding is here and upon us, with $2 trillion in federal funds becoming available to jurisdictions and nonprofit organizations recently and in the coming years. This investment presents an enormous opportunity for communities and nonprofits in Oregon, particularly for historically-underfunded BIPOC-led and serving and rural based organizations, as well as disinvested rural and smaller jurisdictions. However, many nonprofits and rural communities miss out on opportunities to win and manage awards of this scale – largely due to the four Focus Areas this Fund aims to address. Without support, these opportunities pass us by – and once again rural, underserved, and disinvested communities go without.
